We have an exciting and rewarding opportunity for a Level 1 Social Work position at the Hospital Social Work Team within the Wakefield District with people aged 18 and over, including older people and those with a physical disability. At Wakefield Council, we are committed to safeguarding, enabling independence and meeting the health and wellbeing needs of vulnerable people as a priority.
As a qualified Level 1 Social Worker, you will play an important role in helping vulnerable people live as independently as possible. Taking responsibility for assessments and identifying where vulnerable adults may be at risk, we are looking for a qualified Social Worker with up-to-date professional expertise and experience in case management and support planning. You must enjoy working in a fast-pace, multi-agency environment and be able to rise to the challenge of working within busy acute wards.
In addition, it's important you are an organised professional that has extensive current knowledge of all relevant legislation.
Applicants for this role must be qualified to a Degree level or equivalent and be registered as a Social Worker with HCPC registration. This is an essential requirement for this role.
The successful applicant will be required to complete a Disclosure Application Form and to provide criminal conviction information.
