Wakefield Children’s Services are looking for ASYE social workers to join our social work teams across Locality and Children in Care teams with fantastic ASYE programme to get your career off to the start you deserve. What are we asking from you?

  • BA or MA in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work, or equivalent, recognised by the Central Council for Education & Training in Social Work. Or working towards your qualification.
  • Registered with Social Work England upon being qualified.
  • An ability to build strong relationships with children, their families, colleagues and partner agencies.
  • Resilience, tenacity and passion.
  • To be able to identify what children and their families need to make positive changes.
  • An ability to write high quality reports and assessments and analyse information effectively.
  • To focus on your own development and that of the wider service.

Salary grade range

G8 (SCP 24 – 27) £29,174 - £31,895

G9  (SCP 28 – 31)   £32,798 - £35,336
